Re-Do! Class 2

I’ve spent the weekend refining what I would like to do, and making it fit my passions as a VFX artist.

I would like to emphasize cinematography, look development, art direction, environment building, lighting, and asset creation in this. If I have time I would also like a bit of FX with dust and clouds.

I’ve created a rough pitch board, featuring a synopsis, mood board, and some references. My next step is a storyboard.

I present, Pitch 1

Mystery and anticipation: A figure walks towards the parked car in the middle of the vast desert. The sky is painterly, with colors of sunrise. The camera follows the figure's footsteps through the dusty ground. The headlights shine bright into the desert, car body is pitch black

Scene 2: Ignition and Reflection

Close-up on the Corvette’s dashboard as the key turns and the engine rumbles to life; shifts to the rearview mirror, showing the driver looking at the desert behind them, as if leaving something behind.

Highlights the past to see “how far we’ve come”

Scene 3: The Chase

After a take-off, the camera switches between wide shots of the car zooming through the desert and close-ups of the tires kicking up dust.
