to car commercial or not to car commercial
That is the question.
this project is getting pretty boring…
Here’s a to-do anyway’s
SCENE 01
When the dirt is kicked up onto the lens, make the specs dark like dirt instead of white
maybe color grade adjust?
SCENE 02
This scene needs a flatter horizon line in the distance.
SCENE 03
The actor plates can be reshot with someone older and “in costume.”
When reshooting actor, have wheel prop to have the hands comped in around the wheel for better integration.
Rerender scene with shadow pass of a CG actor sitting in the car, for more realistic lighting and reflections(?) might not be needed
Maybe “colder scene”? to flow better into next shot. a little rain or something
SCENE 04
Add snow on car. Make it primarily on the front, as driving into the snow. Clear from windshield;
Model wipers. Add and animate wipers. Maybe particle sim for some snow brushing off windshield?
The particle alpha seems to be transparent unless motion blurred. Find a fix for this wacky frames.
Add slight camera shake to make motion blur not so straight.
VDB Shader isn’t properly receiving or casting ray-traced shadows. This is a VDB Material problem.. no one at SCAD can fix this…. help..
SCENE 05

SCENE 06
Go scout a location that is orange toned, and has “california roadtrip” vibes.
Film new plate with camera movement following the CG car path (use a tripod and tripod head!), and capture a few HDRI’s.
