Winter Quarter Begins!
This week I’ve focused on finding a corvette, as quick as possible!
As soon as I have a date for the corvette, I can start on booking both the actor and the stage.
I’ve started a post on the corvette forum, https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c3-general/4896281-corvette-rental-near-savannah-ga.html#post1608470547 , which has had a lot of support, but no local people yet.
I’ve also sent out about eight messages on facebook marketplace, and had one promising response.
For the actor, I’ve reached out to a casting director through email, and we’re taking a look at 4-5 marlboro / james bond types.
By next class I would like to have a car and a date, as well as a spreadsheet calender of how to finish the film in the next ten weeks.

I’ve started a Houdini <> Unreal pipeline for camera animation, where I can use a FBX to travel both ways. This should help me line up the pre-vis to all of the fully CG shots. I’m working out some of the problems for scale as the framing seems off between the transfer.
I’ve also made a pros and cons list;
I think this definitely pushes me in the direction of virtual production, because while it might be more stressful, it ultimately is closer to my career goal of supervising.
I’ve also called a man named Ray today, and we talked for fifteen minutes about the production and his history with corvettes. It was a great conversation and he’s got some super cool vehicles I think he would be willing to share, pictured here.
