getting ready to wrap pre-production
This week has been a lot of work pivoting from the hurricane.
I spent the majority of my time developing the sky with my teammate Duck, and building the environment on my own.
I’ve also helped Yilin do pipeline test from unreal to Houdini, and I’ve successfully exported lights using USD, fbx for geo and textures and camera. I would like to dive deeper into USD, and believe we could’ve done it all in one USD file.
Firstly, the environment and sky that I did;
Next, this is the pipeline/porting test that me and Yilin did. They lit it, and did a superb job. The foreground is from houdini using the same quixel assets that unreal uses, and the background is my envrionment.
